| Dr. Marie Allen |

Dr. Marie Allen is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Genetics and Pathology, Rudbeck Laboratory, University of Uppsala and a Forensic DNA expert to the Swedish Government. Her research includes developing methods for DNA analysis for samples which are degraded or found in extremely small quantities. She has worked on many historical cases, the most recent high profile case being DNA identification of Copernicus. |

| Dr. Erik Bongcam-Rudloff |

Dr. Erik Bongcam-Rudloff, an Associate Professor at the Linnaeus Centre for Bioinformatics in Uppsala is both a biologist and a computer scientist. His main research deals with mammalian promoters regulation with particular emphasis on phenotypic traits in farm animals. He is also the chairman of EMBnet which is a science-based group of collaborating bioinformatics nodes throughout Europe and a number of nodes outside Europe. |

| Prof. Ludwig Gortner |

Prof. Ludwig Gortner is the Head of the Department of Paediatrics and Neonatology at the University of the Saarland, Homburg/Saar, Germany. He was previously Professor of Paediatrics at the Medical University Lübeck, and Head of the Department of Paediatrics and Neonatology at the Justus-Liebig-University, Giessen, Germany. His research includes work on surfactant research and molecular mechanisms of neonatal respiratory failure and, mechanisms and consequences of intrauterine growth restriction. |
